The Chief Judge of the Federal High Court in Abuja has secretly directed the Federal High Court judge handling the trumped-up treason trial of human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, to proceed to Kainji, Niger State, where he is billed to engage in the trial of Boko Haram suspects, SaharaReporters has learnt. SaharaReporters gathered that Justice Emeka Nwite, the judge handling Sowore’s case, who had adjourned the sitting to Tuesday, December 5, sat on Monday and handled only three cases after which he announced that he would be away in Niger State.

Human rights activist and presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) in the last general elections, Omoyele Sowore, on Wednesday gave a comprehensive update on the trial concerning the trumped-up treason charge brought against him by the Nigerian government. Sowore noted the Nigerian government after being unable to prosecute him for the farcical charge brought a prosecutor who was “pesky, rude, uncouth and unprofessional” to the point that she told the presidential candidate to “shut up” while he was addressing the court.
