The Sindh High Court directed the relevant authorities on Wednesday to issue a timeline for the opening of roads in the vicinity of Clifton Bridge.
A two-member bench, comprising Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Amjad Ali Sahito, which was hearing the plea pertaining to the barricading and closure of roads, also enquired whether a plea to make the federal government a party in the case had been filed.
The petitioner informed the court no directives to file such a plea had been issued.

A two-member bench of the Sindh High Court, comprising Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Amjad Ali Sahito, disposed of on Tuesday a contempt of court plea pertaining to closure of roads during Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches in the city, while directing the police to increase police personnel in the roads during traffic jams and control street crime.
Sindh AIG Ghulam Nabi Memon, Additional Home Secretary and Traffic Police officials appeared in the court. Assistant advocate general informed the court that the accused involved in the murder of citizen, Usama, have been arrested.

The Sindh High Court rejected on Monday the plea challenging the Election Commission of Pakistan’s approval of Pakistan Peoples Party candidate, Palwasha Zai Khan’s nomination papers for the upcoming Senate polls.
A two-member bench, comprising Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Amjad Ali Sahito, was hearing the plea.
Advocate Farooq H Naek appeared before the court on Khan’s behalf. The petitioner against Khan’s nomination papers, advocate Aqib Rajper, gave arguments before the court.
