was richard nixon right when he said when a president does it, that means it s not illegal? well. a judge may have just said in one very specific and important way that, yeah, he might be right. tonight sara wallace says that donald trump gets to stay on the pilot in colorado. this despite the judge finding and saying in pretty plain english that donald trump engaged in an insurrection. during the january 6th attack on the united states capitol. now, the court found that trump intended to incite political violence, that trump wanted to direct it at the capitol, and that trump s plan was to stop the peaceful transfer of power. and that trump was not, in fact, protected by the first amendment when he said that. we are going to walk down to the capitol and we re gonna cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women and we re probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them. because you ll never take back our country with weakness. you have to show strength. w
either. not hearing much from the clintons, the obamas, the bushes. hooray. they got trump. everybody is quiet. they know this sets a dangerous precedent. i think the reason that trump is higher in the polls, people that i know that said before i m done with trump, i m moving on, i want somebody else, they re saying i want someone that tough. i want someone that resilient. someone that sort of that firm. but here s what is happening. a lot of voters are saying place stop alvin bragg, the mainstream media, the january 6th committee, please stop robbing me of one of my choices. i may not vote for donald trump but you re removing the landscape of choices from me. i should at least have that choice. last thing, if i were a victim, a rape or robbery in new york under alvin bragg, i might come forward. surface myself and say you let that person go. you let that person go. martha: if i may, thank you. just stand by, if you can, marc
rightfully so. i will certainly defer to cnn s legal analysts on that. but for me the big thing that s missing is what is the innocent narrative here? what is a good explanation for why really anybody, but certainly a former president included in that group, would want this stuff or have this stuff stored in the basement? i can t come up with a good answer. if the answer is, well, he just missed it when people were throwing stuff in boxes, that doesn t seem to be a very professional way to go about it, certainly not a good way to protect classified information. if the answer is something darker, like i want to hold it in reserve or bargain with it, that s horrible too. we just don t know. but the bottom line for me is i can t think of a good reason that everybody says, yeah, i understand why the former president would take this incredibly classified information home with him. we are all just asking that question. steve hall, just stand by for us. let s bring in cnn s pam brown. pam,
