When complete, the new crossing will provide a 1.8km long dual two-lane highway viaduct across Junk Bay to connect Tsueng Kwan O and Lohas Park, forming part of the new East-West express link to provide much needed relief to the existing heavily utilised road network. The centrepieces of the project includes a 200m-span tied arch bridge with two outwardly leaning arch ribs.
