Celebrating Lent, Flowing Forth United Methodist Church in Aurora launched three study groups Feb. 21 exploring Soul Reset, a book by the Rev. Junius B. Dotson. The late UMC general secretary of discipleship ministries died Feb. 24 of pancreatic cancer.
The Aurora studies opened Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 23-24, on Zoom. Ron DeBaun of Batavia, Flowing Forth lay leader, and the Rev. Derek Rogers, Flowing Forth pastor, are study leaders.

The Rev. Junius B. Dotson, the general secretary and chief executive officer of the UMC’s Discipleship Ministries, an agency of the denomination, died last Wednesday after a weekslong battle with pancreatic cancer.
