South Korean Government to Ease Revaluation Standard for “Common Criteria Certification”
Revaluation standard for common criteria (CC) certification are expected to be eased in South Korea in the upcoming year. The South Korean Government will also provide consulting for new security companies.
According to the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) on Tuesday, “CC Certification System Improvement Plan” based on above information is expected to be announced next month. The improvement plan will include specific plans that will solve issues that security companies currently face.
“We currently request revaluation of CC certification when security software (SW) is changed.” said Jung Jae-wook who is the head of the MSIT’s Cyber Attack Response Department. “We plan to ease the standard for revaluation so that security companies can obtain approvals for partial changes without having to obtain CC certifications again.”

SEOUL, Dec. 15 (Korea Bizwire) Hyundai Motor Group, South Korea’s second-largest conglomerate, on Tuesday named the new CEO for its flagship unit in its latest senior executive reshuffle focusing on future growth.
The automotive titan promoted Chang Jae-hoon, an executive vice president who led Hyundai Motor Co.’s domestic sales business and its luxury marquee Genesis, to president and CEO of South Korea’s top automaker.
Chang, 56, will focus on upgrading corporate culture and its innovations, the group added. Hyundai Motor’s existing CEO Lee Won-hee, meanwhile, will concentrate on other areas including value chain developments.

Hyundai Motor Group has reshuffled its top brass, promoting figures in charge of the group s future growth businesses to higher positions in the automotive conglomerate.
The reshuffle also shows signs of a generation shift, as key executives close to former Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Mong-koo left their jobs to make way for younger figures having stronger connections to new Chairman Chung Euisun.
