Juneau School District Superintendent Dr. Bridget Weiss Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - With the announcement of new masking guidelines for students and staff at K-12 schools from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, many are anxious to see what is going to happen at the Juneau School District. Superintendent Dr. Bridget Weiss says no decision is being made at this time. We certainly are very grateful that the CDC has put their guidance out now, so that we can absorb it, look at how this fits here, and so forth, Weiss said in an interview with News of the North, shortly after the announcement. It will be certainly part of what we are using to consider our mask policy. We haven t made that decision yet but it will be finalized August 10.
