The water level in the four dams is continuously rising and the administration had to discharge water to the Mutha river and canal after the Khadakwasla dam got filled.
While rainfall has brought relief to most of the state, some of the districts had reported excess showers affecting crops. Reports have also talked of around 25,245.50 hectares of land being completed swept away due to floods and heavy rains.
Pawana, the dam which supplies water to Pimpri-Chinchwad is now filled to 49.97 per cent of its capacity, which last year on the same day stood at 64.89 per cent.
