An FIR in the case was registered earlier this week at Kothrud police station by a 47-year-old resident woman resident of Paud Road, who works for a private company.
The woman said in her complaint that her son is mentally challenged since birth. The accused allegedly assured to cure her son and solve other domestic problems in her home by performing black magic.
Since January this year, the cyber crime cell of Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad police have together received two dozen complaints, in which people have been cheated for an amount ranging anything between Rs 50,000 and Rs 3 lakh by cyber frauds who used fake Facebook profiles of IAS and IPS officers.
