Property tax abolition on 2 industrial estates promised

PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Excise and Taxation Syed Ghazi Ghazan Jamal on Friday announced abolishing property tax for Hayatabad Industrial Estate and Small Industrial Estate, Kohat Road, Peshawar, from the next financial year.
He made this announcement while meeting industrialists headed by Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) President Sherbaz Bilour at the Chamber’s House, said a press release issued by the SCCI.

Srinagar, Jan 30 : Two militants who were trapped in a South Kashmir village last evening surrendered this morning after appeals by the security forces and their families while security forces busted a militant module in Anantnag district and arrested two militants and four Over Ground Workers (OWGs).
The two militants who surrendered were trapped by security forces in Batpora, Lelhar village of Kakapora area in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district last evening.
Inspector General of Police of Kashmir, Vijay Kumar, said that one of the militants who surrendered was found injured and immediately shifted to police hospital Srinagar for treatment where his condition is stated to be stable. The two militants surrendered along with two AK 47 rifles.
Lashkar-e-Taiba associate arrested in Pulwama
Pulwama : One terror associate of proscribed outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba was arrested on Saturday by the Awantipora Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
As per a statement, arrested terror associate, Junaid Altaf, was involved in providing shelter, logistics and other support to the terrorists in Pampore and Khrew areas.
Altaf, a resident of Konibal Pampore, has been in touch with the Pakistani terror commanders through various social media platforms, the statement further informed.
“Incriminating material of proscribed outfit LeT has been recovered from him,” the statement added.
A case has been registered against the said terror associate in police station Pampore under relevant sections of law.
