Tanzania, DR Congo share spoils in CHAN warm up
Ayoub Lyanga equalizer in the second half earned Tanzania a 1-1 draw against DR Congo on Tuesday (12 January 2021) evening at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, Dar es Salaam, in a warmup ahead of Total African Nations Championship (CHAN), Cameroon 2020.
Mayele Kalala put DR Congo up front earlier in the 20th minute from a long range shot to beat Tanzania goalie Juma Kaseja.
The game was also a farewell to veteran defender, Aggrey Morris after announcing his retirement from international football a week ago. The 36 years old defender served Tanzania national team for more than a decade and now will move his attention to his long serving club, Azam FC.

Rwanda striker Meddie Kagere has reached a new landmark at Simba SC after notching 50 goals since joining the Mainland Premier League champions.
The 34-year-old striker reached the mark on Wednesday as the
Wekundu wa Msimbazi laboured to a 1-0 win against KMC in a league match played at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
Kagere, who came on as a second-half substitute, stepped up to convert from the penalty spot in the 77th minute after a KMC defender was adjudged to have handled the ball inside the box.
The former Gor Mahia forward took the honours to send keeper Juma Kaseja the wrong way to reach 50 goals since joining the club and also hand them a vital win in their push to retain the title.
