Reporter laura, this was a bit of a surprise that this extension was agreed to last night since theres not often a lot of bipartisan agreement in washington these days. This is one of these issues important enough. Lets be clear whats being extended is the deadline to apply. So now that deadline will be extended until august 8th. So that allows any Small Businesses with fewer than 500 employees that have not yet asked for this aid to jump in and request it. Whats kind of interesting is theres still 130 billion left in the pot to be distributed to Small Businesses. Thats a little surprising because early on this money was just flying out of the coffers and congress had to pass another installment to reinstate the money there.
