kathy: a hot dog could help police solve a string of crimes at local stores. thieves hit stores and gas stations from whitefish bay to greenfield and they almost , always went for newport cigarettes. terry sater reports, this time they left some dna at 60th and coldspring. they had a very systematic approach to it. again, very brazen. greenfield police detective chuck fletcher says when you watch this greenfield speedway s surveillance video, you see one suspect with a dark shirt walk up and grab a hot dog. shirt sneaks behind the clerk at the counter and heads for the manager s office where the newport cigarettes are stored. the man with the hotdog spots the open cash register, goes behind the counter, where a second store worker tries to stop him. there s a struggle there, and that force makes it a robbery. the clerk gets punched and thrown to the ground, but the clerk returns to the fight for the cash. not the biggest employee. but again, it s not the size of the
