WILLIAMSBURG One local organization is giving back to the community by donating food to those who need it most.
The Colonial Italian American Organization (CIAO) announced on Tuesday, April 20, that the organization hosted an “Italian Food Drive” during the first two weeks of April. This food drive was established to benefit the Salvation Army of Williamsburg.
“Food is an important part of Italian culture. And the knowledge that some people in our community do not have food is heartbreaking,” said Bill Moore, CIAO president. “This Italian Food drive reflects CIAO’s spirit of giving and is an example of sharing an important Italian tradition, which is food.”
