“I [still have] nightmares of the things that I’ve seen in prison,” said Stevens. “[The money] don’t bring back the years that I spent in prison, but I can live the rest of my life out, living comfortable.”
On April 20th the Innocence Project at UVA’s law school will hold a public celebration of sorts – hosting six of the nine prison inmates who were pardoned during the last six months of the Northam Administration. It was a record, and the group fears it could be some years before other cases of wrongful conviction are resolved. Sandy Hausman has that story.
