When i was working as director of communications at the urban habitat, you know, at the time carl anthony was the executive director and president of Earth Island Institute with david brauer. And juliet was working on her mba at San Francisco state, and i was asked to sit in on the interview when she came to apply for a job as carls assistant. Basically, a very lowlevel job. But what i was id impressed by was shear passion and her commitment and her caring for community and for people, marginalized people of every color. And i sat through that interview.
