Both Boone and Rowle said they believed the time was right to create a space for people to meet and mingle, as Covid-19 lockdowns and the further move into the online world they prompted has left people eager for real life connections. It’s not just a singles dating event though. “I know lots of single people and lots of people saying I’m happy single, don’t want to be in a relationship, and I think that’s a new way of thinking for a lot of people,” Boone said. “You don’t have to be in a relationship to be happy or satisfied, but it is good to have social networks and connections. One thing you do miss is the intimacy of a partner to bounce things off and talk to, but you can get that through friends.”
