Penn State alumni Victor and Dena Hammel have committed $5 million to create the Hammel Family Human Rights Initiative at Penn State. The gift will provide permanent endowed funding to support the University’s Holocaust, Genocide and Human Rights Education (HGHRE) Initiative. Victor Hammel was the longtime CEO of J.C. Ehrlich, Reading, Pa.
Arborjet's Taking Root scholarship program offers up to $10,000 to students who plan to pursue full-time studies in forestry, plant sciences, horticulture, landscape architecture, entomology or a related major at an accredited two-or four-year college.
A $1,000 scholarship was awarded to Haylee Dodd. The scholarship is presented annually in honor of Jacqueline Duty, wife of Douglas M. Duty, founder of A-Action.
