All of the animals were surrendered to the custody of PSPCA and were transported to the organization's various sites in Lancaster, Philadelphia and Chester Counties.
Alexia, the pitbull who was shot and left for dead in Kingsessing on March 27, has been adopted into a new family. The dog was left on the street and crawled to a nearby porch, where she was found and taken in by Pennsylvania SPCA. Monique Gesualdi, who adopted the pup earlier this month, followed the story and knew Alexia was meant to be in her family when she saw her adoption listing. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
