Peterborough’s Medical Officer of Health is giving her input on the decision to move our region into the ‘Red-Control’ zone.
Dr. Rosana Salvaterra is hopeful these measures will be able to curb the recent rise in cases locally.
Here are some highlights of the following measures that are now required under the Red-CONTROL level:
– Gathering limits of 5 people indoors, and 25 people outdoors, AND physical distancing of 2 metres must be
maintained;
– Outdoor dining, take out, drive through, and delivery permitted, including alcohol;
– Establishments must be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.;
– Food courts must close;
Peterborough Public Health is preparing to do safety blitzes of local grocery stores and box stores.
Inspector Julie Ingram says it’ll be done to make sure all safety protocols are being followed.
