Citizens’ concerns about a proposed residential development near the Conway Airport led the Conway Planning Commission to defer action on the developer s annexation and zoning request at a public meeting on Monday, Nov. 27. Instead, the planning commission called for a workshop to look into concerns raised by about a dozen residents during a public hearing, including traffic congestion, traffic safety and the potential for flooding.
Conway council incumbents Larry White and Justin Jordan have secured another term. Conway Planning Commissioner Julie Hardwick will join the city council to fill Autry Benton’s seat. Benton did not seek reelection.
