VALPARAISO — Porter County vote totals seesawed between Republicans and Democrats Tuesday night, with GOP candidates taking the lead in key races as the vote count increased.
Porter County Councilman Mike Brickner, R-At-large, who lost a spring bid to run for commissioner to fellow Republican Barb Regnitz, is publicly supporting her Democratic opponent, Julie Giorgi, in a move that the county Republican Party chair calls “sour grapes.”
