the united states. iranians do not want that. this is all ab leverage to get economic relief. i think it will be a small increase to do that. the united states should not overreact to that. call them out, warn them of the seriousness of walking down this path that they intend to walk down. if they get close to weapons grade, there s a red line waiting for them by the israelis and ourselves. don t overreact to something right now that s not all that significant. the iranians would want that reaction, just as they wanted a military action to the shooting down the drone. because that increases the disruption that s taking place, the sense of crisis. julie: i m glad you brought that up. i have to bring up the political piece in which you were mentioned in on your advice on how to deal with iran. that piece fox news general speaking about you, who spoke trump out of attacking iran.
houses, you go through all this detail and you re not allowed to ask whether or not somebody is a citizen? reporter: opponents of the question now have reason to continue with the lawsuit sneaking their way through the courts. the aclu recently presented new evidence it says shows the administration sought political benefits for republican when adding this question. now they want the courts to punish the trump administration for what they say amounts to misleading the supreme court. julie? julie: all right, thank you very much. so the estranged husband of a missing connecticut husband speaks out in his first sitdown interview. this is the first time we have heard from him. he insists he is innocent. he claims he is, quote, worried about his wife. david? reporter: julie, his first interview since his wife disappeared did little to explain what may have happened to the mother of five.
even if they re merely suspected of a crime, it s in their best interest to remain sigh len. i think going out on national television, giving interviews to the media can only hurt his case. i do not think it was a wise thing to do. if he says anything before trial and then decides to testify at trial, if there s any little difference between one statement and another, it goes to his credibility and a prosecutor on cross examination will eat him alive with a prior inconsistent statement. julie: talk about trying to damage your own defense. number one the investigation is still unfolding. number two, there is a lot of evidence. he s already been charged with covering up some evidence. so if he is concealing anything in this case, i mean, then he says i didn t wish her any ill will, it s gonna bite him back when he gets charged, if he ever gets charged with his murder. of course he s presumed to be innocent. even in light of that presumption, all of the evidence we ve seen that s now
