View Comments LOUISVILLE, Ky.   A woman riding a moped was killed Friday afternoon in a hit-and-run crash at Hikes and Goldsmith lanes, according to Louisville Metro Police. Sixth Division officers responded about 3:45 p.m. Friday to the reported crash at the intersection of Hikes and Goldsmith lanes, with witnesses saying a passenger vehicle was heading west on Hikes Lane at a high rate of speed, LMPD spokesman Dwight Mitchell said. The vehicle ran the red light and hit a moped that was traveling south on Goldsmith Lane and had the green light, Mitchell said. The passenger vehicle then fled the scene by heading north on Bardstown Road, Mitchell said.
