0 easton, senior editor for fortune magazine and a fox news contributor. sometimes these hearings can be dry but this was powerful testimony this morning from ordinary americans in some respect putting members of congress in their place. powerful, and jon, shocking. i mean some of what these witnesses brought forward is truly shocking. there is sort of through all of the testimony there is this thread of the i.r.s. demanding huge amounts of information, 90 pieces in the case of one tea party group, and then putting a short timeline on it. so almost like you would just give up, that it would block you from even starting your organization. then we have these other amazing stories, which democratic congressman levyn just referred to, for example which was a pro-life group being told they better not be picketing in front of planned parenthood. then we have another tea party organization, this one from the san fernando valley in california which was supposed to submit anything that says
this man bragged she was a female james bond although i don t think that evidence will come in. jon: the prosecution s theory, that cooley zoo park murdered julianna redding because redd a egg father backed out of a deal. the buy wanted to teach a lesson to his punitive partner. that s right. but i think that they re going to have some troublinging park to this transaction that occurred between redding s father and the doctor. i think here the defense strategy is really going to be key and it s going to be important to see whether the defense can get in this alternate story that they say occurred which is that john gilmore, her boyfriend, who was violent toward her, actually committed the killing and not miss park. jon: they don t have the evidence that he was violent toward her, do they? right. they don t, jon. they have evidence that
capitol hill. go pair i believe the conclusions are consistent with that. what happened here is that foolish mistakes were made by people trying to be more efficient in their workload selection. he was asked multiple times to name names, assign blame but he would not go there. the inspector general, what did the inspector general have to say about his findings? we know from our reporting this week that a lot of these organizations were asked for the political affiliation of their top leadership, who their donors are. we know in some cases donor information was leaked in the middle of the presidential campaign, including a california group that was protraditional marriage. so here is the inspector general on some of those questions. the i.r.s. requested unnecessary information for many political cases, in fact 987170 cases that received follow-up requests for information from the i.r.s. had unnecessary questions. our evidence indicates that staff at the determination
