Within the past hour here at the brandnew Police Headquarters mayor lee along with the chief of police and the board of supervisors pledged 6. 6 million over the next two years to buy 1800 of the body cameras. That makes them the largest Police Officers in the country. They can record the officers interactions with citizens and criminals. Chief greg cited a study showing use of force complaints have dropped by 87 in other departments that have already started using the body cams.
