School Board Reviews Opportunity To Improve Community Infrastructure

The Emmetsburg Community School District Board of Education discussed ideas to improve community transportation during Wednesday night’s meeting at the high school library.
Julia Badenhope, an Iowa State University faculty member and community planner/designer who works with the Iowa’s Living Roadways Community Visioning program, presented information on a survey she developed to help empower students with improving community transportation systems. The survey, aimed at 9th and 12th grade students, helps determine students’ experiences, needs, and wants when it comes to the pursuit of infrastructure projects.
