Janzen named president of Tabor College by Hillsboro Free Press
The Tabor College Board of Directors has selected Dr. David Janzen to serve as the 14th president of the college. He currently serves as professor and software engineering coordinator in the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
His appointment will take effect on July 1, succeeding Dr. Jules Glanzer after serving as president for over 13 years.
Janzen said. “We are excited and passionate about the mission of Tabor.”
Board chair Susan Franz Koslowsky spoke of the board’s confidence in Janzen’s leadership, recognizing him for his authenticity, entrepreneurial spirit and humility.

Along with teaching at Bethel College and the University of Kansas, Janzen invented several programs and worked in the software industry with Sprint from 1993-97. He received his master s and a doctorate in computer science from KU.

HILLSBORO After Tabor College President Jules Glanzer recently announced plans to retire after 13 years as president, a search committee was formed. The Tabor College Board of Directors executive committee has announced the seven-member committee. The search committee will review applicants and interview top candidates, eventually making a recommendation to the full board of directors.
