SCA launches hunt for producer cadetship
Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) is seeking a recent graduate or someone looking to move into radio, with a 12-month producer cadetship.
The cadetship has a maximum term of 12 months, and involves working from 7pm to midnight on Monday to Thursday, and 6am to 10am on Saturdays. SCA said the hours will appeal to someone who is naturally a night owl, but can pivot to early morning starts.
The role will involve working on SCA’s weeknight program
SCA said the successful applicants need to be able to multitask, work to tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure. They also need to possess first-class verbal and written communication skills, be proficient in social media platforms, and be connected to pop culture and current affairs.
