The worst part of jail was not sleeping on the paper thin yoga mat on the cold concrete ledges that had replaced more expensive cots nor the vile food mystery meets drenched that an inmate dubbed sloppy nose. So what was the worst thing about being in jail in for me it was probably being locked up all the time without any control over my life. I mean, we take watches or cell phones for granted. You know what time it is, you know what youre supposed to be doing. All of a sudden jail means total loss of control. You work on their schedule. You sleep on their schedule.
