Roger E. Charbonneau Sr.
OAKVILLE – Roger Emile Charbonneau Sr., 77, husband of Corienne (Austin) Charbonneau, passed away peacefully at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by his family on Saturday, April 10, 2021.
Born in Waterbury, Conn., on July 7, 1943, Roger was the son of the late Firmin and Laura (LaPrade) Charbonneau. Roger was the retired chief mechanic for the Town of Watertown for over 30 years. He was an avid hunter and a member of the Watertown Customs Car Club. Roger was nationally known for restoring the Class A Pickup “Bad News” along with his late friend, Charlie Boucher. He was an innovator in automotive restoration including antiques. He was the proud owner of his 1951 flat black chopped Mercury which is not for sale.
