Twenty students from Humble Summer Creek High School were prevented from wearing colorful cultural sashes at their graduation ceremony, prompting accusations of discrimination from the Latino community.
A school district spokesperson says the 20 impacted students should have been allowed to wear their colorful stoles at Saturday's graduation ceremony, but added that the snafu "had nothing to do with race or culture."
