it might surprise people. frankly, it shocks me at times, to realize just the availability of information. the idea that somebody who could be a judge, the assumption would be, by virtue of people who are trying to retaliate in some way, angered by choices you ve made and decisions you ve ruled on, that there would be an overwhelming desire to protect. and you know now i believe that? we ve seen it with the supreme court, with protests that have been happening. you have members of congress vying for something very similar as well. why is this such a difficult thing to try to pass? there is bipartisan support. what do you think is the actual hangup here? you know, i wish i could answer that question because it boggles my mind. i mean, this bill is bipartisan, bicameral. we passed the senate judiciary hearing committee with no objections. sen senator cruz, senator cotton, there s bipartisan support.
to bring their own lawyers, the president is really going to be relying on his allies on the judiciary committee to make the case that he is really innocent, that he did nothing wrong, and that this is really democrats being angry about the 2016 election and wanting to unseat a legitimately elected president. and what i think we re going to see in this judiciary hearing committee is really the fireworks are going to be with the lawmakers, from my sources on capitol hill, it sounds as though these are going to be really academics who are going to be laying out in very academic ways how the constitution speaks about impeachment and high crimes and misdemeanors. last week or in the last few weeks, we should say, there were witness after witness that was really leaving lawmakers and the american public aghast. there were so many witnesses coming forward talking about what president trump directly did, so many witnesses coming forward saying, i had concerns about how the president was speak
