After gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf Ahmed were shot dead in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj, former Chief Minister of Bihar Jitan Ram Manjhi said that Bihar has better law and order than the BJP-ruled state.
People s Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti on Monday reacted to the killing of Atiq Ahmed and his brother, Ashraf, in Prayagraj, and said that gangster-turned-politician was not good but the way he was killed, makes it look like a jungle raj in Uttar Pradesh.
After gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf were shot dead in Prayagraj in full media glare on Saturday night, the father of one of the assailants on Sunday said his son was jobless and a drug addict.
"UP CM Yogi Adityanath took cognizance of the Prayagraj incident. CM Yogi immediately called a high-level meeting and ordered a high-level inquiry into the whole matter. Chief Minister also gave instructions for the formation of a three-member Judicial Commission (Judicial Inquiry Commission) in the matter," the officials said.
Lovelesh Tiwari from Banda, Arun Maurya from Baghela Pukhta and Sunny Singh from Kasganj were identified as the alleged three shooters in the murder of Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf.
