Joseph Schaeffer and Tyler Norstedt, both of Spicer, are the most recent graduates of the Eighth Judicial District Drug Treatment Court program. Their graduation ceremony was conducted recently in Willmar.
Dalton Joseph Beyer, 31, of Rush City, formerly Moorhead, pleaded guilty in April to felony first-degree criminal damage to property and obstruction of the legal process with force, a gross misdemeanor. A felony charge of threats violence and misdemeanor charges of fleeing a police officer and providing a false name were dismissed. He was sentenced to 19 months in prison and credited with 267 days already served.
Charles Jacob Whitcup, Jr., 50, of Alexandria, pleaded guilty to felony third-degree drugs in one case and to felony fifth-degree drugs in another. A felony firearm charge and multiple felony drug charges were dismissed in both cases as part of the plea deal.
Gerome Anthony Patino, 20, of Willmar, is charged with felony first-degree burglary, felony second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and felony terroristic threats.
Brady Allen Lietzau, 31, of St. Cloud, was convicted of felony second-degree arson of property with damage valued at $1,000 or more, felony third-degree narcotic drug sale and felony violation of a no-contact order following a plea agreement under the state dismissed multiple other charges in exchange for a total of a 33-month prison sentence.
