NEW LONDON - The trial of a 20-year-old Uncasville man accused of stabbing his grandparents to death in 2019 has been formally set down to begin in early June in New London, one of the first such proceedings to take place locally in more than a year.
A three-judge panel will preside over the trial of Marcus Fisher beginning June 7, according to the office of New London Superior Court Judge Hillary Strackbein. The court’s criminal court office had the trial set to last through June 8.
Judges Harry Calmar, Shari Murphy and Strackbein will oversee the trial, the first of its kind to take place in the Huntington Street court building since March 2020.
