HILLMAN VFW Auxiliary 2356 of Hillman was called to order on Feb. 2, 2021 by the President Tom Brown, with 14 members in attendance.
The auxiliary thanks the members for attending.
Business was taken care of with a donation going to Tunnel 2 Towers, Valentine Cheer bags going to Medilodge, Hillman’s Haven and area residents who are alone. This is done with the hope of cheering those who are alone during this pandemic these are tough times on everyone, especially those living alone.
An update was given on the Lorraine LaPorte embezzlement case by Linda Prosser.
The Gold Star Family was rescheduled for Feb. 21 at 12:30 p.m. at the Hall. The auxiliary has three families who are Gold Star Families and the auxiliary will be in contact with them. Due to COVID-19, the auxiliary must restrict each invited member to one more family member only.

There is lots of discussion finally being made amongst the Kincardine community now that the Hospital Board finally opened up to the public about the purchase of the CT Scan for the Kincardine Hospital on Tuesday (Jan. 25) night. Most of the discussion is negative towards purchasing the Edge Plus Scan which will be the only one in Canada! Interesting….So Siemens are going to use Kincardine as their “guinea pig” so to speak to introduce this CT Scan to Canada. Yes, the representative from Siemens at the information meeting last night said that there were 53 of them in the USA. But, if you really listened to her, she said some health centres had purchased 3 of them as they are inexpensive and the patients have to pay for their scan, so think about it. Cheap units and user pay….that sounds more like an investment, money maker, whatever way y
