A man facing trial in a 2018 shooting that killed a girl sleeping in her bed has pleaded not guilty following his recent indictment on a witness tampering charge.
His attorney is also denying he had any role in preparing an affidavit at the center of the new allegation.
Michael L. Elliott, 28, of Bridgeton, was charged along with three others for allegedly firing on a group of people gathered in front of an Elmer Street home around 12:30 a.m. on July 17, 2018.
