A trial date has been set for a man charged with the murder of police community support officer Julia James.
Ms James, 53, was found with fatal head injuries next to Akholt Wood, Snowdown, near Dover, on 27 April.
Callum Wheeler, 21, from Aylesham, appeared at Maidstone Crown Court via video link from Belmarsh prison.
Mr Wheeler spoke only to confirm his name and to say he could hear Judge Philip Statman during the 12-minute hearing. He was remanded in custody.
A trial date has been set for 29 November, with a plea and trial preparation hearing set for 8 June.

The brutal killer who was trapped when he ditched his victim s mobile phone, was jailed for life today.
Heartless Harry Harris, 29, stabbed dad-of-one Jamie Webb, 44, seven times after the two fell out over a £2,000 cocaine debt.

But after leaving Mr Webb to die at his home in Northfleet, he fled with two mobile phones.
A jury at Maidstone Crown Court heard that one of Mr Webb s phones has never been found
But the second was casually tossed from Harris car as he fled the scene back to his home in Essex.

A man stabbed his rival seven times in a row over a drugs debt, a jury has decided.
Harry Harris carried out the brutal attack - before fleeing with his victim s phones and property.
The scene in Hamerton Road, Northfleet, was cordoned off.

Now a jury at Maidstone Crown Court has found Harris, of Chigwell, guilty of murder.
The youngster believed it belonged to one of the drivers involved in the crash, and handed it over to officers.
But when police forensically examined the mobile - it became a vital clue in the murder hunt.
