Police: Driver in fatal crash had very high level of alcohol in bloodstream

WARREN Police said a preliminary test showed the driver responsible for a fatal crash at Groesbeck Highway and 11 Mile Road on April 25 had a “very high” level of alcohol in his bloodstream.
The man, identified by police as Anthony Joseph Dicicco, 39, of Warren, was arraigned in the 37th District Court on April 27 on a one-count warrant for operating while intoxicated causing death, a 15-year felony.
“We had a 39-year-old (suspect) driving a Mercedes at a high rate of speed,” Warren Police Lt. David Kriss said.

WARREN A Warren man accused of targeting a Black family in a series of alleged hate crimes last fall will head to trial on May 26.
The date has been set before Judge Diane Druzinski in Macomb County Circuit Court, where Michael John Frederick Jr., 24, faces ethnic intimidation, felony malicious destruction of property and weapons charges related to three incidents over a four-night span in September.
Frederick is accused of shooting at vehicles parked at the home of Eddie and Candace Hall in a neighborhood near 11 Mile and Hoover roads on Sept. 7. The family is Black and had a “Black Lives Matter” sign in their front window. Two days later, he allegedly threw a brick through their window, slashed tires and left graffiti, including a swastika and the words “Black Lives Matter” and “Not Welcome” on their vehicles.
