Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is asking a federal judge to issue sanctions against four attorneys who filed a “frivolous” lawsuit following former President Donald Trump’s election loss.
“These lawyers must be held accountable for betraying the trust placed in them as members of the bar,” Nessel said in a statement issued Thursday. “Lawyers bear a special responsibility to uphold the rule of law, and these lawyers have done the opposite.
