SHAH ALAM: The defence in the murder case of Cradle Fund chief executive officer Nazrin Hassan told the High Court here Wednesday (April 13) that a science officer from the Fire and Rescue Department had changed her testimony about ‘petrol’ many times.

SHAH ALAM: The High Court here was told on Friday (April 8) that Cradle Fund chief executive officer Nazrin Hassan was murdered and the cause of his death was not due to the fire at his Mutiara Damansara home in 2018.

SHAH ALAM (Bernama): The High Court was told that Samirah Muzaffar, the widow of Cradle Fund chief executive officer Nazrin Hassan, filed an objection to the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) over his nominee two weeks after his death. EPF account officer Noor Hafizah Osman, 36, who was attached to the withdrawal operations management division in 2018, said based on EPF records, the nominee named for Nazrin s contribution was Eza Shafina Dzulkarnain, 47, as submitted by the deceased on Jan 13, 2011. On June 28, 2018, EPF received a nomination objection from the deceased s wife, Samirah Muzaffar, at the Kuala Lumpur EPF branch. On that date, Samirah submitted a letter of protest in her name and signed it herself, she said on Wednesday (March 17).

SHAH ALAM (Bernama): No traces of alcohol or drugs were detected in three specimens taken from the body of Cradle Fund chief executive officer Nazrin Hassan, the High Court here was told. Chemist B. Govinda Raj, who is attached to the Chemistry Department’s toxicology division, said the specimens marked A, B and C were received from Sergeant Abdul Rahim Taha at 10.58am on June 18,2018. The 40th prosecution witness said after receiving them, the department carried out an alcohol analysis on the urine specimen while analysis on volatile substance was conducted on the lung tissue and psoas muscle.
