A GAY academic was unfairly dismissed from the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, but not because of his sexuality, as he had claimed. The Telegraph reported that Dr Kevin Fogg, 37, said he had been unfairly dismissed from the Centre and that the fact that he is a bisexual man who is in a homosexual relationship ‘did not comply’ with the preference of its main funders. Dr Fogg, who had spent five years at the centre as a research fellow, argued in his employment tribunal in October that he was a victim of direct age discrimination and indirect discrimination due to his sexual orientation.
