Published January 13, 2021 2:03pm Chief Justice Diosdado Peralta has designated another judge to temporarily take care of urgent matters in two courts in Sulu, one of which is handling the murder case against police officers accused of killing four soldiers in Jolo last year. Peralta assigned Judge Alsad Hailil Alfad of the Siasi, Sulu Regional Trial Court (RTC) as acting presiding judge of Branch 3 of the Jolo RTC and of Branch 4 of the Parang RTC. The case for murder and planting of evidence against nine dismissed police officers allegedly involved in the killing of four Army officers last June is pending with the Jolo RTC.
