Stringer, 48, is associate pastor at Jubilee Baptist Church in Daphne.
“In many respects, a pastor’s work hasn’t changed for nearly two thousand years,” he said. “The message is the same, our hope is not subject to our circumstances, and the church has endured many difficult seasons. However, our work concerns people and any limitations on our access to them limits our ability to invest in their lives. Locations such as school campuses and hospitals are often limited to immediate family. Our congregation has even adjusted our meeting schedules and suspended much of our ministry programming. Even more restricting are the measures taken to distance. Not being able to greet with a handshake or comfort with a hug has been the most notable change for me. We have become more creative in trying to stay in touch
