The camp of presidential aspirant Vice President Leni Robredo did not mince words on Thursday, March 10, as it hit back on personalities claiming that the massive attendees of her campaign rallies are members of the country’s communist groups.

In a Facebook post on Thursday (April 22), the governor encouraged senior citizens to get the jab amid survey results showing that most Filipinos who do not want to get inoculated are seniors.
“As a gentle reminder: 1. Senior citizens have the highest risk of death from COVID-19, 2. Kahit sabihing nasa bahay lang kayo ay pwede pa rin mahawa sa mga kasamahan na malimit sa labas, 3. Walang mayaman o mahirap sa pandemya. Mula sa mga indigent hanggang sa mga bilyonaryo. Everyone is at risk. (2. Even if you’re staying at home, you can still get the infection from household members who frequently go out, 3. There’s no rich or poor in a pandemic. From indigent to billionaires. Everyone is at risk),” Remulla said.

In an announcement via Facebook live, Remulla said the number of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in Cavite has been fluctuating between 1,844 and 185 cases per day over the past weeks.
Aside from almost reaching full capacity, hospitals are also short-handed.
“Sa totoo lang po, eto ang sitwasyon natin – 95 percent ng ating ICU beds ay occupied, 30 percent reduction in the frontliner force dahil marami ay nagka-reaction o exposure sa COVID (The reality is, here’s our situation – 95 percent of our ICU beds are occupied and there’s a 30 percent reduction in the frontline force because many of them have had a reaction or exposure to COVID), Remulla said.
