Juanita Wood-Arbus was banking on a little more help when fraudsters grabbed nearly $2,500 from her chequing account.
The long-time customer of Canada Trust, now TD Canada Trust, for 40 years says the financial institution is putting the recent incident “back on me” rather than offering assistance and reimbursing her for the cash she lost.

“I feel like they keep saying it’s somehow my fault,” Wood-Arbus told The Sault Star. “My feeling is that the bank is there to protect my money. That’s why my money’s there. I don’t know what more I could have done.”
