The relief material was for the families of 16 CPI(M) workers whose houses were set on fire on November 13 following the murder of local Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Saifuddin Lashkar the same morning.
One of the primary suspects has been apprehended from Nadia district on Thursday, approximately 72 hours after the alleged murder of a Trinamool leader in West Bengal s Joynagar, according to police sources. With this latest arrest, the total number of individuals detained in connection with the case has now reached four.
The incident in Joynagar brings back the memories of Bogtui where 10 persons were burnt alive in retaliation of Trinamool Congress leader Bhadu Sheikh s murder.
