Kenya: A prison officer is reported to have shot dead his girlfriend and her one-year-old son.
David Nduati is said to have killed his girlfriend Joyce Mwende Ngui, 30, and her son, Raji Mwende within Waita GK Prisons.
The incident happened on Tuesday evening at 11 pm.
According to the police occurrence book (OB), Nduati, who was on duty at the time of the shooting incident, killed the girlfriend and her son before surrendering his G3 rifle to officers manning the main gate.
He is said to have confessed to murdering the girlfriend.
âThe duty officer received information that Pc David Nduati Kimani had surrendered his G3 Rifle to the officers manning the main gate and he confessed that he had killed someone and left,â reads in part the OB report.
