To ensure continuity of emergency care for the local community, Catholic Health will open a temporary emergency department at 5875 S. Transit Road, Lockport, on June 18 at 12:01 a.m., following the closure of Eastern Niagara Hospital on June 17. Mount St. Mary s Hospital will operate the 24/7 emergency department until the new Lockport Memorial Hospital opens in September.
Construction of the new, 60,000-square-foot Lockport Memorial Hospital (LMH) is proceeding at a record pace as a result of Catholic Health s continued collaboration with the New York State Department of Health, local government officials, and its construction partners.
